Good afternoon everybody, how’s your Friday going? Soon it’s weekend and there are a few things happening this weekend. 🙂

Today the weather is “drunk”, last night Sandra had to go out with Kira at around 04:00 and then it was around 4-6 degrees and when we got up at around 08:30 it was around 25 degrees, SO HOT! 😮

I am currently eating potato mash with fish fingers, delicious, with a homemade sauce that Sandra has made.

So yesterday when Sandra came home from work and was cuddling with Kira on the floor, she noticed that something look kind of off with her. Her upper part of her snout was kind of swollen and you could see her front teeth really easily when she was laying on her side.

It was quite clear that something had stung her but we will never know what, we suspect that it was a wasp. Luckily she didn’t have any other reaction other than her snout swelling up. We looked up what to look out for when a dog gets stung and we were instructed to just wait and see, the swelling should go down after a few hours. She was acting like her usual self so we knew that it wasn’t too bad after all. Today when we got up, the swelling had gone down but instead, the lower part of her yaw was a bit swollen and it had spread to around a bit of her right eye as well. We got a bit concerned so we called the local veterinarian and she told us that as long as she is behaving like she usually does, we don’t need to worry because if it was more serious she wouldn’t be her usual self. So we will just have to wait and see, as of right now the swelling has gone down a bit compared to this morning so it’s going the right way luckily! 🙂

Because Kira loves to be on the balcony sofa, I decided to make it a bit better for her since the sun shines on the balcony so it’s really hot there, especially on the sofa where there is a dark colour. I hung up a blanket to block the sun from cooking our sofa so that Kira doesn’t get overheated. 😀 Some might call me crazy but hey, what won’t you do for your pets. (it also makes it so that you can sit there yourself when the sun is shining without being cooked)

So tomorrow Sandra is going to help out at an event for veteran tractors, she will be keeping watch over the horse area there. And then later in the evening, she is going horseback riding with a friend of hers. On Sunday we are most likely going to my parent’s place and also to visit my brother at their summer cottage if the weather is nice. 🙂
